Electric Picnic Music and Arts Festival 2026 - Preview

Since 2004, for over 20 years now, the Electric Picnic Festival has been an integral part of the Irish live music scene.
And this year, it’s returning to Stradbally, Co. Laois, from August 28th to 30th! Being the largest Irish music and arts festival, the event attracts more than 80.000 people from all over the world every year. No wonder, considering the craic artists and visitors alike bring to the function.
And it’s not looking much different this year, since all tickets have been sold out already, for all three festival days.
Surprising? Not with a lineup like this:
Not only will Fans get an amazing mix of international and Irish headliners alike, such as Gorillaz, Zara Larson, Fontaines D.C., and CMAT, but also experience incredible artists like Djo, Wolf Alice, Geese, Rolemodel, and Florence Road. While it is indie rock heavy, there definitely is something for everyone. If, for example, you’d rather enjoy some more traditional Irish folk music, I highly implore you not to miss the Mary Wallopers set.
With all these amazing musicians making your weekend unforgettable, I am not joking when I say that this might be one of the best festival lineups I’ve ever seen.
Because of the high demand, organizers recommend using public transportation to Portlaoise Train Station and continuing your journey with the designated shuttle service.
With your festival ticket, you can also secure a spot to pitch your tent on the different sites available. Whether it is your regular camp or the upgraded glamping experience, it’ll only add to the adventure of it all.
Of course, accessible campsites are also provided.
If you rely on other accessibility services, you can also apply for 24/7 support and access their raised viewing platforms, making sure everyone has the best experience possible.
If you’re lucky enough to attend the festival this year, I can assure you that you’ll be having a great time with friends, strangers, and all the great acts putting on the
