Corona Capital 2025 - Preview

Corona Capital 2025 returns to Mexico City for its 15th edition! From November 14–16 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. On the race track, there are gas-lit promises of an unforgettable weekend. Nestled in autumn, this lineup promises nothing but warmth. Dripped in nostalgia and reinvention. Jam-packed with artists who alone create electric moments. With plentiful sweeping the stage, Corona Capital is not a festival you want to miss!

On Friday, November 14th, the legendary Foo Fighters headline the night. Lighting the stage in rock-fury energy. Queens of the Stone Age are also guaranteed to sweep the night. Garbage has been the talk of the last year after announcing their band’s closing tour after this leg. Also bringing nostalgic alt-rock degrees are Franz Ferdinand. Softening the rock punch earlier in the day are artists Lucy Dacus, Nilüfer Yanya, and Waxahatchee. Bringing a dreamlike haze to the day. Absolute breath catchers.

Saturday’s headliner will douse the day in free spirit and glitter. Dazzling the day is pop sensation Chappell Roan. An artist who continues to break barriers boldly with pop flair. All the while keeping space safe for the LGBTQIA+ community. Roan’s theatricality and powerful stage presence make her alone worth the show. Still, the day is loaded with incredible performers. Indie pop legends Vampire Weekend will ignite the sun one last time before it sets. Bringing the soul is no other than Alabama Shakes. Personally, my eye is caught by Aurora. The epitome of what it means to be ethereal. Sharing stages on Saturday are also - Grizzly Bear, and pop royalty status - Marina

Linkin Park is set to close out on Sunday night. Having moved forward with Emily Armstrong as their lead vocalist. Their latest tour has been nothing but an honor to their past, and illuminating a powerful note to the band’s present and future. Deftones keep the day transcendent. Indie rock continues in feverish waves with Weezer, Of Monsters and Men, and TV on the Radio. An artist highlight is PinkPantheress. A delivery of music that is addictive alt-pop.

The lineup only proves that Corona Capital doesn’t rest comfortably on its headliners. The festival is full of stage-pulsing performers. Even the smaller names are extreme highlights. Nothing short of cross-generational energy. The expansive lineup feels like an opportunity for shock-infused energy. While also offering golden moments of intimacy in a sea of people.

Corona Capital serves as snapshots. Where music culture is currently. What music we return to. What new edges are just starting to show?
